My heart is really hurting from this today. A member of a gay car guy group I’m in lives literally 75 yards from the club and still has medical examiners vans outside of his house. It’s heartbreaking, and I can’t shake off the feeling that I’m in danger, even though I’m across the country.

Yeah, I can’t get over the videos of her. So sad. As a gay man living in rural Mississippi I am always concerned some nut job will try to hurt or kill my husband of myself, but I generally consider cities safe. I guess the fact is we are never truly safe and bad things can happen anywhere.

May peace be with you, my friend, in your time of loss.
